I wish to have installed 3 downlights on the underside of my canopy on the front of the house, have them come on at dusk on a low light and go full brightness when motion is detected.
I know you can have security lights that do just this but is there a seperate pir what could be connected to downlighters and do the same thing? be it led downlights or mains powered led downlights.
Something like
https://www.topbulb.com/rda-lighting-ms180dim-brz-ms180dim
but available in uk?

That product does not "DIM" the lamp. It has two outputs that go to two separate lights. A courtesy output for a lower wattage lamp and a 'security' output for a brighter output, eg floodlight.
Only suitable for Halogen/tungsten loads too.

Like you, I have yet to find one that truly dims the lamp, and i'll bet, it wouldn't work with LED lamps if it existed at all.

I have bulkhead security lights in garden fitted with 200v ES led bulbs that do exactly what i am looking for,but even those seem unavailable now,all lighting now seems to be led.

Yes, dimming light fittings used to be made, using GLS lamps, but they don't seem to be on the market now.
