I have just fitted a new rubber gasket to my back door (which leads from the kitchen) as the original was not working properly.

Now when I go to close the door the bottom closes up against the gasket before the top. The door will close with a little effort and locks so at least the property is safe.

The door is fitted with a flag hinge I believe. I have checked around and it looks as if the adjustment to move the bottom slightly away from the frame is at the end of the hinge.

I have a full set of allen keys but not had any success in getting one to "bite" the female end to adjust. Can anyone tell me what size the allen key is likely to be or am I mistaken.

I should mention that the door has been adjusted a couple of times in the past by the installation firm, who have no ceased trading, in attempt to stop the wind coming in.

Thanks

Thanks Blup

The flag hinge cover seems to be in two part but nit worked out how to prise it open, can't see any button or the like, don't want to use brute force and damage it.

Looking at the link you gave the adjustment options seem to be up or down, or left to right, doesn't seem an option to move the bottom left hand corner, viewed from inside, away slightly, i.e increase the gap between the rubber gasket and the door so it doesn't squeeze the gasket so much. It is working and i have adjusted the mushroom cams slightly so can close and lock the door.

By the way do you know of any diagram that identifies and names the various components, such as the parts adjusted by the mushroom cams.

Noticed yesterday when I looked at the door from the outside that there was a gap between the door and the rubber gasket on the left hand corner (below the handle). Checked all the levels with a spirit level and can't seem anything wrong but if there is a gap on the bottom left corner and it's tight on the opposite corner it suggest something isn't quite right but no idea what, it's almost as if the door is leaning in some way but the levels don't confirm this.
