Hello group, just a quick question.

Can I fit a pump to a thermostatic shower that runs from a Combi boiler.

I have a Vokera Syseti 35 boiler, plumbing and electrics are easily accessible, would just like more oomph from the shower head.

1. It is against the Water Regulations to pump the cold main at more than 12 litres per minute.
2. You might over-pressure your boiler.
3. A combi won't heat more than its maximum specified flow of hot water at a given temperature rise no matter what you do.
4. You could consider replacing that brass isolation valve (rhs of your picture, probably the hot) with a full bore one. Get rid of the PTFE on the threads at the same time.

Your combi has a hot water flow rate of 12 lpm, iirc vokera do as a spare part a 13 lpm restrictor. That would give a little more flow but your shower mixer valve and shower head could also have a means of restriction.(either intended in design or due to being a Chinese import product).

12 lpm from your combi matched with decent cold mains water flow and a decent mixer valve-shower head arrangement will give a decent invigoration shower as long its plumbed in correctly with no restrictive flow fittings. (y)

Your electrics dont look too clever entwined with you plumbing as they are.

That's the best shower fixing kit I've seen in my life!!

I didn't fit the shower nor the electrics (they are what's left over from an electric shower I presume (they are dead)), I was only looking for advice.
