Self levelling compound different brands mixed

ive been given 15 bags of “level it” SLC for free. Gonna need another 10 bags I recon. This stuff seems very expensive £30-40 per bag so I was hoping to go the Bostik Cemoplay route for roughly £10 per bag.

Are there any real issues of mixing 2 brands? Not mixing together in the bucket, just merging the wet edge. They are both water based however the free expensive stuff boasts it is a hard wearing finished floor but the other stuff clearly isn’t a wearing top coat. All will be tiled over.

That’s what I was thinking. Will it be fine to lay the 2 types wet edge to wet edge or should I batten off so the 2 don’t meet?

Wet edge to wet edge or dry to wet or dry your eyes mate or wet wet wet.

I ain’t levelling self leveller, straight onto concrete slab and old kitchen floor. Get with the program

Got the pleasure of doing something similar soon when I knock out and see how badly out the new slab is, so any tips welcome when you’ve done it!

I shall almost certainly have a huge list of tips.... of what all the pitfalls are and that I’ve found every one.
