Problems with a shared return on a new installation

Quick update. Technician been back in touch. One solution he wants to try is fit a less powerful pump as he feels he has over-sized the current pump. Not sure if this is the right solution or not? We have 21 rads and a very long house so I would suspect we need a fair sized pump. We will see!
21 rads and a shared return to save space. Oh dear. Flow rate must be really poor I bet it takes a while to heat up the radiators especially the bigger ones.

Yeah, clutching at straws. And as I've just thought, why not simply turn the pump down to a lower setting?
Exactly.
Had a problem with a pump being oversized before all it did was airrate the water in the sealed system. Which leads to ask another question is the system sealed or open vented because if the pump was to big on an open vented system it most likely would pump up the open vent unless the head of pressure is bars.

Yes sorry for the delay. The technician eventually installed seperate returns for each zone which has resolved the issue. If this was done correctly in the first place it would have saved alot of time and lost hours to him. But thanks guys for your input.

Great! Good to hear our ideas were vindicated. Thanks for the feedback, it doesn't always happen.

why not make sure that the plumber has not wrongly configured the pipework?. He may be perfectly amenable to admitting his error and rectifying. Why pay for time and materials to use a work around if doing it properly is possible?

Glad to hear it is solved. Was the guy reasonably happy to put hsihands up,or was he kicking and screaming?
