Find Grahams very expensive, PTS, City Plumbing and several others are all owned by the same group, Williams plumbing and heating (trade only) are excellent with prices and delivery times.

Thank you

Don`t know about copper walls being thinner but the rest of what you say is true.

I buy a lot of the Wednesbury copper pipe from Screwfix and Toolstation. Never had any problems with crinkling. Maybe it's down to the person operating the bender. (y) Put 25 metres of Wednesbury in my own house last week. Wouldn't do that if there were any doubts about the quality.

I avoid merchants for the general plumbing stuff, and use Screwfix and Toolstation. Prices are very good, and it all comes straight to my door next day.

It might have been a problem in the past

If you're building a list and can spend the time getting familiar with their database and product names, then Screwfix are great, but get it delivered and check that everything is there.
Don't rely on popping to your nearest branch and getting what you need. . They're notorious for having feck all in stock! :cautious:
