Install cold water header tank to supply 9kw electric shower

I just wanted some advice. I have a triton 9kw electric shower thats fed from cold mains.
I have a problem with low water pressure and flow. When the shower is running and someone opens a tap i get low pressure on the shower or even if next door opens their tap we get low pressure on our shower as the mains from the road supplies next door and our house.

I was wondering if i can install a cold water head tank with ball float upstairs somewhere so the mains water fills the header tank and the tank supplies the electric shower so even if somone opens a tap it wont go "low pressure" will that work? And will the shower get enough pressure from the tank to operate correctly or does the shower have to be fed from mains?

1. If you read the installation manual for the T80Z (9.5Kw) it states clearly (Page 2) "Mains pressure cold water only".
2. MINIMUM operating pressure is 1 bar. To get that from a tank would require the base of the tank to be about 10 metres (say 33 feet) above the top of the shower head.

So I'd suggest the answer to your question is no. You'd need to look at other alternatives.

Ok so thats not an option.
Would buying a shower pump solve my problem? Not really sure what it does? My shower runs fine if no one opens a tap it just when the tap is opened im getting low pressure.
What other options do i have apart from getting rid of the mains old lead pipe as that would mean digging up next door garden as my supply come through their back garden.

I've never come across an electric shower that doesn't do that when another tap is opened or a WC is flushed, seems to 'come with the territory' so to speak.

When you lay a new pipe, it does not have to follow the same route as the old one.

If your property abuts the highway, there is probably a watermain under the pavement.

I could have my own new supply but would cost a lot more and would mean digging my drive up which i don't want to do.

I get the low pressure light come on and the water goes cold untill tap is off. My parents have got same sort of shower and we could open 3 taps at the same time and dont get low pressure at all.

Just been looking on screw fix website they sell electric pumped shower that are gravity fed so i think i could use a tank on it. Not sure though.

Contact triton and ask if your shower is suitable for putting on a pumped supply from a dedicated tank, I would be surprised if they said it wasn't allowed.

You should consider means ( level sensors ) to stop the pump when the tank is close to becoming empty. Or you could alert the person in the shower that the water is about to run out. Provide enough early warning time to remove all the soap suds before the shower stops flowing

The pump is integrated into shower. I think u just connect a header tank to the shower
