Hi folks,

Main question:
So - I have been searching- which nail gun can I get that uses round head (whole round, clipped, off centre etc) but that are 40mm long, max?

Background:

I have some 6'x6' feather edge panels with pales to neighbours side. 2 weeks in, pales are starting to curl and privacy is an issue- gaps etc.
Plan is to buy pales and fix our side overlapping the other way, so feather edge both sides, fixed to same rails.

Rails are 38mm thick ish. Panels have nails that were sunk a few mm (off the shelf professionally made), and pales are only about 10mm thick, so 50mm nails will probably protrude pales other side.

Old posts on this site advise that brads are no good- pales will curl and pull through nails...

I don't want to hand-nail them- don't want to bash panels about, nor get neighbour involved to hold lump hammer on other side etc etc. Plus I want to arm myself for some future fencing...

Cheers,
M

51mm is shortest you're get for a cordless nailer
You can get shorter for hosed guns but cost wise better off going old school

Thanks

Thanks for the post...
I should have said- I have a compressor and was aiming for an air nailer.
I don't follow the rest of yours...? Do you mean you know of air nailers that shoot shorter than 50mm round head nails?

I mean I know they exist as someone is making (my) fence panels with them! Just can't find them on the market?

Thanks,
M

Any good?

The listing lists compatible nailers, too.

Nailed it!
Thanks!

Clearly this is the spec that I was not finding in the usual places. They are all out of my price bracket though, maybe I'll hire one...

Didn't think of starting with the nails as a search. Cheers!
