Hello

We are soon to tile our downstairs kitchen/diner. The substrate is backerboard screwed and stuck over caberdek. Our tiles are wood effect 1250mm x 250mm. Should we back butter or not or just lay a healthy bed of adhesive.

Also what size notch on trowel and would a levelling system be a good idea on such a long narrow tile?

Thanks in advance

Steve

I always back butter floor tiles , any impact over air bubbles under tile increases chance of breakage.

If floor is level should be ok , about 6mm notch .
