Replaced the inlet valve today on my push button toilet. Used a Flomasta valve from Screwfix. Job all good for DIY and now working as expected, no over filling or leaks and cistern fills exactly to the level marked. Question I have is that when you flush there is a short delay and a click noise before the inlet kicks in and then the cistern fills. Is this usual or is there something I need to adjust?

Depending on the particular valve you bought, it may have a delayed flush action built-in to prevent the fill starting before the flush valve closes, which is designed as a water saving feature.
