Draw out your slabs to scale making a larger area, then line out the dimensions to scale and then you will know how many slabs and the No of cuts.

Yes, I was going to do that but still deciding on which slabs. We would like smooth and not riven but they're not cheap are they !!!!

Now that is really helpful FMT. Thank you very much. I'm wondering if I can make at least one 90 degree angle out of it (bottom right) ? Possibly two - bottom left as well ? Then at least I would have two parallel sides.

Sounds like someone needs to download SketchUp ......
I presume that is some kind of advanced drawing/design software. I do have a telegraph pole and a panel fence to contend with but I have put a set square on the two bottom corners and I can make them both 90 degrees and so I now have a trapezium instead of my original irregular quadrillateral. Much less cutting and less slabs to buy possibly. You Sir have made my day. Thank you. Would it be possible please, using your software, to make the two bottom angles both 90 degrees. That in turn will increase the length of the bottom line (currently 4295) and also the length of the two diagonals. It will also alter the length of the two sidelines but only marginally. The one constant has to be the top line, currently 5200.
