Alarm panel and PIR recommendations

Looking for a recommendation for a panel swap i am going to be doing for a family member. Existing system is a basic stand alone panel with onboard keypad located by the front entrance door.

The system only has 3 PIR's and a mag on the front door. I have installed several premier elite's with RKP's and also some Honeywell accenta Gen 4's. Family member is not wanting anything fancy however and is a bit strapped for cash so im not sure i want to recommend the bulky Premier elite 24 + RKP although using EOL wiring and the wintex would be great for me.

Anyone recommend a decent onboard keypad panel that would sit nicely by the front entrance door? The optima by honeywell maybe or the texecom veritas?

Also some good sensors to use if i went with a honeywell or other recommendation? Ive found the prem elite sensors with dual tech very reliable and very resistant to false alarms unlike the cheaper sensors.

You could fit either texecom veritas , I would personally avoid any compact versions of most panels as everything is crammed in and can be awkward on upgrades ! What about a premier live panel ? 4 onboard zones plus wireless if required at a later date ,same backplate as a veritas so not too big

Veritas is cheap so appeals, any difference between this and the veritas r8? They both easy to program?
I take it the veritas cant utilise EOL wiring?
But i guess they take the texecom premier elite pir’s like the td or dt?

Vertias R8 is the remote keypad version
Vertias 8 has same size control panel as R8
Vertias 8 compact is smaller and will only take a 2.1 sized battery.
As Sparky says small and awkward if wiring near battery area.
You are limited with on-board keypad panels anyway
Honeywell, Texecom,Scantronic.

Looks like veritas might be the way to go as i will need a bit of room inside as some of the wires will need extending. Either that or convince them to have the prem elite and have a keypad mounted at the side of it.

Does the veritas except eol? and do the prem elite pir’s work with it?

The standard vertias range does not except EOL with the exception of the Veritas 8R Plus and elite premier range.

Relative has decided to go with the prem elite 24 which im happy about as im familiar with the panel.

On the subject of the PIR's, i have used the prem elite TD and DT before but never used the high immunity IR or Quad element versions.

How good are the IR and Quad versions for the standard domestic home? reasonably good with false alarms? Obviously the dual techs are the best but are these a little OTT in a living room?
