Speed fit v hep2o

The original Speedfit pipe is PEX and is much stiffer / less flexible (cheaper) than Polybutylene, they introduced their “Layflat” a few years ago which is Polybutylene as a direct offering against Hep2o and Polypipe’s offering.

The PEX pipe is difficult to use in coil form, particularly above 15mm.

The safe working temperatures and pressures are very similar, the problems in the USA were to do with a more rigid / harder plastic pipe (I can’t remember the type) but it put pay to PEX and Polybutylene over there, all plastics tarred with the same brush
