Nobody can say what they would have done, the Amygdala causes us to make very rapid decisions and often it can be to run away. You'd be amazed at the number of "nice", "normal" people who will hit and run on a motoring accident. We all have the benefit of many more facts and time to consider than anyone involved on the day.

Well, he had a driver, so the driver would have locked the doors. The driver would also have been trained how to best protect his client, and would have taken control.

That depends on how one gets to be a "top cop".
Promoted through the ranks in merit, vs promoted out of jobs they weren't doing well anyway.
