About to have external kitchen door bricked up and builder has advised rockwool roll between the breeze block and outer brick.

Any advice on best value insulation? Its an old house with solid walls so no cavity insulation elsewhere but thinking this will help with damp proofing?

Insulation won't help with damp, in fact, in some instances, it can cause it if unlucky if it restricts airflow and doesn't permit the escape of moist water carrying air.

Just simple cavity batts, I am sure left over from another job he has on, and you will be fine.

DPC being maintained as continuous on the outer leaf, and tied in with existing.
