I’m looking to cheat a bit on moving a radiator; the old rad has been taken off . I’m getting a new rad and want it fitted on an other wall . I don’t want to have to drain the system, so wondered if it was possible to extend pipes from the rad side of the valves ( I know I will need new valves) - the red arrows on the picture

Original valves and pipes will be hidden so that’s not an issue with the look

Any thoughts..?

Something like a 1/2" x 15mm would work but is really poor in terms of look and practice better to drain and repipe

EDIT:
Just re re-read the OP. Thought you were just fitting a new, slightly different sized rad!

TBH, pretty much anything is possible. But you are embarking on a serious bodge. There would have to be some strong extenuating circumstance to even consider it. Drain down, run the new pipes properly and tidily. Or engage professional assistance
