So, DIY'd my alarm some four years back. All has been working okay, today I altered a couple of things. On exiting engineer mode I have a "01 Tamper fault". The fault is present with my tamper wiring, without any wiring and with a direct link across the zone1 terminals. I suspect I have inadvertently messed something up when allocating Zones 9&10 as Z10 was set as "global tamper" (didn't make note of its attribute though) and had a link across its terminals, still pawing through the manuals to see why I would have done that at the time of original install. I can program Z1 out so that the alarm is still usable but would like to get to the bottom of it, I will probably try the factory reset option at some point but hoping somebody more knowledgeable may be able to throw some light on it for me first.

Is the link fitted on the pcb ? Normally removed when you wire double pole , not EOL ....I Take it you have not fitted resistors in the devices ?

Link is not on pcb and no resistors, pretty much just replaced the previous ancient faulty kit using the existing old 3 pair wiring. It has been working okay over the last few years with the occasional alteration here and there but todays mods have done something, probably to the programming.
Would you know anything about zone 10 having a link and set as Global Tamper? seems a bit of a coincidence.

The more I'm reading up on it, the more of a red herring it seems. I'd say it was installed as double pole with the link off and as you say Z1 the tamper zone by default. Now I know I can reclaim a zone by going DEOL I'm tempted, are the resistors easily obtainable? and while I'm asking. Are there other prox tags that are useable with my 068 & int reader?
