that makes some sense. I only saw the headlines, or head on radio, and thought it sounded crazy. Makes more sense if the woman is not fit to raise the child.
It's still wrong though.
I heard a story (friend of a friend's brother, or something) about a woman with learning difficulties who got pregnant by her boss (who allegedly took advantage of her) and the drama about how the child will be cared for. The family were obviously totally against her boss having any involvement, as they felt he took advantage (rape was never mentioned). But she was not equipped to look after a baby by herself either. Not sure what the outcome was actually, many years ago now.

The mother is campaigning because this situation is not uncommon. It seems to be to do with interpretation of the rules.
Sarah Champion MP, is in support. She is saying the rules need clarifying. Also fathers committed of serious offences should have any parental rights revoked.
Sarah Champion was the MP that publicly stated Pakistani men are raping white girls. Some may remember she was sacked by Corbyn for it (in reality, the cleansing was because she wasnt a Corbynista).
I am sure you have contacted your MP to make such comment?
Laws and rights won't get changed on here.

And I think she's right. Yeah, sure, good to have both parents raise a kid, but what kid needs visits to prisons and that monster as a role model? Bad enough knowing your father is a rapist. The mother has been let down enough, they need to leave her and the kid alone to live their lives the best they can.
Yes, so is burying your head in the sand, complaining, but doing nothing positive .
In other words allowing such things to continue.
