I think the technique is to freeze it so it'll roll into their hallway enough that by the next morning it's so far from their front door they think it must be one of them that laid it.

Well, I wouldn't fancy an icecream from a freezer used for that purpose.:eek:

I thought you were suppose to set it on fire so they stamp it out?
 
Update for you all: it is all now sorted! Couple of weeks ago the council completed the dropped kerb, moved the existing parking bay end marker, added yellow line, and all of that. It looks great!
It did get delayed as the neighbours did complain enough for the council to visit again and check whatever the claims were, but, as expected by all of you, they saw no issues. They apologised for the further delay of getting back on the contractor's backlog of work.

See, miserable busy body neighbours can kick up a stink but in the end the fair decision was made for you.

Did you PTLB them by the way?
