No as before ...enter code ( reset ) so no lights are on the panel no noise ( normal day mode ) NOW walk in front of the detector you changed ( zone 3 ) what happens ?

Hi Sparkymarka, did as you requested, no change, no alarm lights came on and no panel noise.
Hi Sparkymarka, sorry forgot to mention, the LED light on the IR Sensor comes on when movement detected and then goes off when not be 'blocked'.

Hi, when full alarm set, Tamper Light (only) comes on.
Hi, linked out A/T terminals, set alarm and Tamper Light still comes on (as before).
Ok next step put a link between 0v and TR bottom of pcb , stretch spring ...if it's still showing ....time for a new panel

thanks for all the help (and patience). Good news, it turns out the problem was a high resistance contact on the panel's PCB mounted Anti-Tamper switch, I have temporarily shorted this out and the system now works as it should.
