I've just replaced an old radiator with a 1600x600 double panel. New values and TRV. Nothing special about the replacement. Just positioned a few feet away from the old one (on same wall) and fitted new 15mm plastic tails, joining to existing 8mm copper piping with a brass compression joint. The new radiator is cooler at the bottom than the top. I understand that this is often a sign than the radiator has sludge at the bottom, but how can this be the case with a brand new one? All ideas and suggestions to fix welcomed.
