Just looking into painting the exterior render on my house when the weather gets warm enough.

Its generally in good nick with some hairline cracks.

We had decided to use Dulux Weathershield (trade) Classic Cream but they seem to have discontinued this colour now? May go for Gardenia but will get a test pot first.

Just been looking arounf for sources to get paint from and noticed there is a:

Dulux Trade Weathershield Smooth Masonary Paint and a

Dulux Trade Weathershield All Seasons Smooth Masonary paint.

Could anyone tell me which would be better and is there in fact any difference?

Also Would I be able to paint plastic soil stacks using this paint?

Any recommendations on where to buy from? B & Q do the Trade paint a £30 for 5L

Cheers

Standard Weathershield is a water based masonry paint whereas All Seasons is a solvent based masonry paint. The solvent based version is showerproof in 15-30 minutes and can be used at lower temperatures, hence the name 'All Seasons'.

The water based version shouldn't be use on plastic and, ideally, neither should the solvent based. However, the latter should adhere much better providing the plastic is suitable keyed/primed. Personally, I would recommend using the Weathershield gloss for the soil stacks.
