Brick Tiles - Advice on edging please

Firstly thanks for the advice I've robbed from you guys in the past , usually find what I need using the old bit search function but this one has me stumped.

I'm tiling the kitchen above the worktops using brick effect tiles with bevelled edges, which is going fine.

Finally the end is in sight but here is my problem: I have reached the end of the worktop and the black 6mm tile edging is fine for the bevelled edge of the full tile but when I cut the tile in half it comes out higher then the edging (here's a diagram cos my explanation is C**p)




What do the pro's do in this position? Would bigger edging look ok? Or would it look ridiculous?

I'd be inclined to "fettle" the edge with an angle grinder so it has the same edge as the rest of the tile, then when you grout it should disguise the fact.

I did a fireplace once, with thinbrick tiles Yeah I know lol. I hired a Tile cutting machine (days before plasplugs lol) and cut 45 degree mitres lot of cutting. But it hid the corners a treat...

you could try "fettling" the bevel edge on them cuts , or do as I would an take off the chamfer on the full ones straight on the trim

Thanx for all the replies, I tried "fettling" but it didn't look right so I then tried the larger edging which surprisingly looked quite good, only problem was the grout gathered underneath but a little scraping solved that one.

Just thought I'd let you know.
