It's "worth" means different things to different people.
Am assuming that goods are checked and, if possible, compared with other outlets.
You cannot assume that, because the price is a £1, it's rubbish.
The "25p worth" could be due to exploitation of labour.....but that's a different story!!

Cheap but useful kit :-
Actually have Keweisi KWS-V20, takes the higher voltage (4-20 volt, 0-3 Amps) if required, notes time and sums mAh, plus a KWS-10VA (3-9 volt) just does Volts and up to 3 Amps.
helped weed out some poor cables, check on the old Anker (ho,ho) power bank and the USB provisions in our cars.
Edit :- Tom's Hardware, tested some car power socket adapters, Americana, but may give some pointers.

If it's any interest, I bought a double-outlet type for phone and satnav from a local car accessories place. A few years back and I can't remember how much, about £5 I think. Never been any trouble.

Before pound world went I bought quite a few USB leads and other stuff from there, however I found with their lead my Samsung phone charged at 0.6 amp and with a proper Samsung lead it was charging at 1.2 amp from the same USB socket.
Nearly every USB socket one looks at says 2.1 amp at least some are even higher, to get some thing rated at 1 amp it may stop the phone going flat, but it will not charge it.
