I had a pressure vessel changed last week and the pressure release valve was dripping after the engineer left, I have them coming back next week to look at it but its stopped dripping.
Is it worth still having them come out or should I cancel the visit or does it still need looking at ?

some engineers wrongly open the PRV to release pressure from the boiler, this can cause debris to stop the valve from re-seating properly, it doesnt always, but a proper drain valve should always be used, they sometimes do stop dripping by themselves, they are a very simple spring loaded safety valve that usually open at 3 bar if the boiler pressure gets too high

Boiler engineer visited today and he replaced the prv said itched got some dirt in it stopping it closing fully, didn't mention other engineer shouldn't have used it to drain water. Anyway all sorted so happy
