Hi

Our washing machine has packed in so the new one is going to be sited in the garage (plumbing already there).

Question is - how can we make the old cavity for the washing machine space into a kitchen cupboard? Do we slot a cupboard unit in or does it need to be built ‘bespoke’?

Thanks

Alan

Only issue may be hinges but I assume we can get new ones to use with existing cups?

Have to reuse door as can’t get a match.

Thanks

Alan

Probably easier to buy a ready made base unit but easy to make one.
Use the original door because the old ones will have changed colour and new old stock will stick out

600 unit and new hinges. Secure to one side only if the gap is too wide, you could shuffle adjacent units over to close any gap.

Concealed kitchen hinges are pretty much universally 35mm diameter

As Foxhole says, fix the new unit at one side. I'd silicone caulk the gap on the other side
