Help replacing 2 gang light switch please

Common is L1 (red with link wire)
L1 becomes L2 (Black wire)
L2 becomes L3 (extra red wire)
However it does not make sense, you have the two commons linked on the old switch, normally line feed goes to common on an off/on switch and L1 with a two way switch, and one switch seems to be off/on and the other two way. So question is does the two way switch work correctly now. There are more than one way to wire so may be correct, but check first.

The connections on the "new" switches marked "L1" are equivalent to the connections on the old switches marked "Common". The incoming Red wires should be connected to these terminals.
Both the old and new switch pairs are each Single Pole Double Throw (SPDT)

The original pair has a multiway switch on the left with two outgoing wires connected. [There is at least one other switch controlling the light(s) on this circuit.]
The switch on the right has a single outgoing connection, which should be connected to L2 on the new switch.

It means it is a 2-way switch and the terminal is labelled 'common' - admittedly confusing.
There is no 'normal'. Different makes are marked differently.
Just remember each switch is a triangle with one terminal at one end and two at the other.

That link is pretty normal (or used to be) with hall/landing light switching.
It's why you end up with borrowed neutrals when splitting the up & down circuits.
I changed an old double switch with a new one. One Switch works as before (up is off) although it now controls the other light. The other switch is flipped, the off position is now on. Can anyone advise how I reverse it?
