Hiya,
I've drill 6m hole on a plasterboard and plug it in with

However, it comes out once i put up the curtain.

Any idea what would be a good plug for plasterboard to hold heavy curtain?

Thanks,

GoodOne, good evening again.

If the curtains really very heavy [velvet or similar] you can fix two or three of the suggested fixings near the fixing point but not too close together? for the curtain pole for added support

GoodOne.

Short answer is no.

Why?

Because, the type of plug above, only works if [for instance] you drill a hole into a brick and insert such a plug, then the screw will enter the plastic plug and displace / expand the plastic to in effect "Grab" and be held in position by friction and in doing so the plug will hold.

OK If you consider a friable thin material such as Plasterboard, which does not have the same properties as brick and a plastic plug has a very, very limited area to expand against, in reality nothing to "Grab"

On the other hand, the metal screw in fixings have in effect a quite large area of plasterboard to spread the applied load to and in doing so will hole on to the plasterboard.

Hope the above makes sense?

Ken
