Hi
The grey flexible pipe that links the overflow to the plug had snapped (see photo) I've fixed with a fantastic bodge, I can't source a replacement pipe.
Is there a way to fix the pipe better than I have done?

That's quite a nice bodge!(y) I assume you have used a street (m&F ) elbow and a bit of tube pushed in and held with the tape if you solder the tube in place and use some sealer like Fernox LSX sealant in conjunction with the hose clips chances are it will last.;)
Real answer is as you have easy access just buy a new complete unit.;)

I heated up the pipe with a hairdryer to fit in the thinner male end of the copper. In the wider female end I have used something similar to the Antelco 25mm joiner, but I'm guessing it was only 20mm , so lots of tape to pad it out and the jubilee clips. It leaks

If I use the Antelco joiner can I use clear silicon bath sealant, or is that different to the Fernox?

Thanks

A short bit if copper tube would be best it will be the same diameter as the thinner end of the elbow. solder it in for a pukka joint, or if you have no lamp use a push fit elbow and two short bits of tube.
Fernox Is similar to clear silicone but specifically designed as a leak sealer, silicone will do at a push.(y)

Amalgamating tape sold as repair tape for water would probably do the job...the key is too stretch the tape. Bodging but fine until a proper replacement is sourced.

Ask in the electrics forum about using earth colour insulating tape. (equipotential bodging););)

Thanks for all the replies.
I ignored the advice from the shop "You won't be able to get a spare/replacement tube"
Found out, who makes it, KartellUk, gave them a call and yes, they can provide, so I've asked the shop to order.
Hopefully replacing should be easy.

Next Question:
The pipe split as it was bending sharply over 90o
I've seen dishwasher hoses, that come with a 180o guide to help bend the hose, has anyone seen a 90o version?
(I can take a 180 and bodge it with tape etc.. :)

Thanks
