Very soft floorboards in bathroom

I recently bought my first house and discovered that the the newly renovated bathroom was done as cheaply and quickly as possible. Nothing is level, everything is held in place with silicone, and it all leaks.

Currently sorting out the bath and notices a couple small sections of floorboard are so soft, I can pinch it apart with my fingers. I'm guessing the previous bath also had a small leak, rotted parts of the floorboard and have dried out since then.

Since I'm laying down 2x4 wooden batons for the feet of the bath and the small rotted bits are not supporting anything, is there any risk if I just leave them in or may the rot spread?

They look pretty ropey. TBH I'd just cut them out and replace them with a piece of 18mm plywood and some hardboard/thin packers on top of the joists to pack it all up level

I left them in cause butter knives are sharper than my oscillating saw blades. The joists are still good, just awful floorboards.

I left the rotted bits easy to access, is it absolutely necessary to cut it out or can I leave it until the next time the bathroom is renovated?

Cut them out. If they are soft they have no strength. It really isn't a difficult job

Access is the main issue, don't want to remove the bath but I get your point. I'll get them cut out and packed up like you suggest.
