If I deselect B from the area programming, when I part set, the landing PIR doesn't get omitted even though its ticked to do so.

Issue has got to do with programming.
How many keypads are on system
What areas are the keypad selected for.

I agree, but can I pin point it.
There are three keypads on the system, all selected for area A only.

Gaz

Make all devices area A
Make landing omit in part 1
Ensure keypads are area A
Select quick arm on keypads
To turn on press part yes

Cheers will try that tomorrow, tried that many ways now can't remember if I have already tried it.
Just looked at the keypad settings and they are set to both area A and B, so will take off B and check as you have suggested and report back the outcome.

Thanks in advance.

Make all keypads area A
Deselect area B from landing
You can not have a device selected for both area A & B at the same time.
I think that is the problem

the is plain and simple.

area arm suites are to arm an area or group of areas not to part set the system

So to make it simple:-

1. remove area arm suites
2.program everything to area A
3. program omit 1 on the zones you want omitting during the part set.

when you full arm everything gets set.
when you part arm everything will be armed except the omitted 1 zones

To achieve a quicker arming method, wrt key presses, enable Quick arm on the keypads

press area system full sets
press part, press yes (evening arm, this is part set 1).

so part 1 omit doesn't work in an area arm suite.

to do it as area arm suites, you are full setting areas.

so all zones in Area A that you want arming in part set
all zones you don't want to arm in area B for the part set.

full arm is areas AB and part set would be Area A

arm suite 1 AB (full arm), arms suite 2 A (full arm A, part set system ie area b remains unset).

I would suggest you don't try this method as it can be complicated to know whats going on.

The panels event log helped identify the programming problem.

ie trying to part set a system using area arm suits, seen lots of engineers do this.

If the part set function doesn't work quite how you would like, write down how you would like it to work step by step.

Cheers for that, will scrap the area setup tonight, and as you say, use the simple method.
