I've just upgraded our home alarm to a Dimension, I've nearly got it where I want it in terms of config, but I'm stuck on a few points, hoping one of you may be able to help.

  • On the G2-20, When fully setting the alarm (A Key), The alarm would not set untill the final zone was closed (Exit time set to 00), the internal siren would beep tiwce and so would the keypad to confirm it was set.
  • When part setting the alarm, it would countdown from 30 and then it would set, the keypad would beep twice to confirm but the internal siren would not sound.

  • On the Dimension, When fully setting the alarm (A Key), the internal siren beeps and the keypad beeps untill the final zone closes. When the alarm sets, the internal siren and keypad beep twice to confrim, this is fine, the problem comes with part setting.
  • Part set is also waiting for the final zone to close, but i want this to countdown from 30 like my old g2-20 did. The reason for this is beacuse the final zone will already be closed (its the porch door) so it would be impractical to open and close the door to set the alarm. How can i set this to count down from 30 but still keep full set to set on final closing?
  • I also do not want the internal siren to beep when waiting for the 30 seconds or the final beeps to confirm its set, how do i disable this for part setting?
Thanks Jack

is the part set used at night ? If so my night set on the 2-20 is silent until count ended then 2 beeps on keypad only .

Don't know tbh check out the installation manual on net I've only got a 2-20 sorry

I’ve worked it out...

I set the exit time to 030, so i get the countdown with part set and with full set it will countdown but on final closing it will set.

I’ve set the internal sounder *99 to strobe so it only sounds on alarm, and set my part-set keyswitch to #, which means when it’s turned on, the alarm will instantly part-set, no noisy countdown. when setting from the keypad I have the B key mapped to silent Part so again no noisy countdown :)
