Hi,

Just about to decorate a whole house and want to use a bigger roller - 12".

Does anyone supply 12" (or bigger) roller trays that have fitting liners. I can see loads for 9" but not bigger.

Thanks and regards,
TS

Especially for emulsion its so easy to wash a tray, why waste the worlds resources with plastic liners!

I can understand using disposable foam rollers for gloss/2pack, but again get yourself a sheep skin roller and wash it, will last half a lifetime with care.

I just put them inside thin bin liners and discard after use .

Agreed, I just put the roller and tray in a bin bag at the end of each day.

Whilst working with them, I periodically spray a mist of water over them to stop the emulsion skinning in the tray or hardening on the roller.

Think you misunderstood , tray goes in bin liner and paint in the tray on top of the liner. When finished remove clean tray from inside paint covered bin liner and discard liner, no cleaning of tray ever needed.

I see. I once buy bag liners for my scuttles but found that the roller kept sticking to the bags when trying to roll of the excess paint. I threw the rest away. Wouldn't you have the same problem with trays?

Not had that problem , keep liner tight to tray so it can’t lift off .

Get a cheap silicone spatula from home bargains/ the range etc for squegeeing unused paint out of the tray/scuttle if you don't use a liner of some sort.

You want to avoid washing too much paint down the drain as it's not exactly environmentally friendly once it hits the water treatment works!

How do you manage to do that? If you pull the bin bag tight it will be level with the side rims on the tray?
