Hi all!!!

Am doing up my first rental property (to a medium/good standard) and would love some advice from some expereinced guys about getting items and the brands that provide good quality for the price and brands to stay clear off. Of course I am trying to look online, but reallife expereince would be appreciated :)

Cooker Hood - looking for something a little quiet - ( coming across Newworld , and eleckra)
Thermostatic Mixer - Branded (hudson reed V Grohe v toolstation)
Looking for a Single Lever Mono Mixer Kitchen tap - Again Branded v screwfix v toolstation
Electrical sockets and switches - Should I go Screwfix/ toolstation own brand or should I buy MK/BG ?
Brands of paint ? going all white throughout the house

Thank you all in advance :)

basic hood bosch are even not that dear,

my experience of taps is cheap are sh1t, ive replaced every cheap one ive fitted, you want chrome plated brass, thats said ive got decent ones from screwfix/b&q (same group) etc just check materials they often have stuff on offer or end of range too, ive got some really decent tap end of line for a steal if you not to fussy.

screfix own brand sockets are sh1t i find, cable holders especially on lighting poor, i would go mk or anything else, all my house i volex but they no longer stock it.

Paint....

dont buy cheap paint you will end up over coating so many times its a joke,

again b&q 10l deluxe trade tubs, might seem expensive but you dilute them with water, coverage is first class, i never use anything else now.

I found Wickes own brand, the more expensive version of own brand (not budget), to be very good. There is normally a deal on also, 2 for £** or something like that.
