I'm about to replace a fence but due to bushes and split level gardens half the fence will be good side then will change to bad side. Is this a strange thing to do or acceptable as an access work around?

strange.

Is this your own house, that you're going to live in?

It will not look much more weird than wearing one wellington boot and one running shoe in public.

Great comparison! Yes it's my house. Suggestions then please guys.

I have a run of fence. Posts are going to be bolted to a retaining wall side A. Good side will be side B so kick board sits on wall.

At the end of the garden there 6m of no wall so a 600mm mud bank which has 4'hedging running the 6m length so now side B cant have good side due to access but the rest of the fence (12m) would look strange as good side A as it will have the void between wall and kick board.

diagram please

you could use concrete gravel boards by the mud bank.

Why?
These are panels yes? if your replacing them all then why can they not be fitted so that the good side is completely on your side for all?

what sort of reply is that?
You either put a panel in with the "good side" facing you or your neighbour.

Why is it that you are unable to put them all in facing you?
Why is it that you cannot put them all in the same way around, even if it means your neighbour gets the "good side" ?

Methinks this needs pictures.

Read the posts mate and you'd understand

I prefer the good side facing out. Next door to me has the good side facing in, even at the back where there is a path and it would make it easier for anyone to climb over.

Hi John. In the attached picture you can see the wall and the higher garden. Behind the 2 remaining panels theres no wall just a 600 mud bank.

The pic shows the hedges in the high garden so I cant continue good side that side. If I were to do good side my side the kickbaord would be floating not sat on the wall and I think that would look terrible. I cant see any other option but to swap sides for the last 6m.

If that doesn't work for you, click "upload a file" (beneath the reply box)

I'm on a phone John and it's the upload file thats giving the error. Copy and paste isn't showing as an option unfortunately

On a touchscreen

To Copy, open the pic, put your finger on it, wait, the option will appear.

To Paste, open the window where you want to put it, put your finger on it, wait, the option will appear
