Fence good side/bad side

In my opinion there is no good/bad side. I specifically asked my neighbour for the rails on my side (opposite to "the norm" ) because I can put wires on the rails and grow things that then don't lay on the fence . Ownership of fences is in house deeds.

Ownership of fences is whoever pays for it - not the house deeds!
If you want a fence you pay for it - simples.
If you put it up you don't have to put it up with the good side facing the neighbour - simples.
If you put a fence up, you paid for it and it's on your land - its all your fence and your neighbour cannot lean anything on it, use it for a support, paint or stain it - attach anything to it (without your permission) - simples.
