Hi all,

I'm planning on replacing the old doors in my house. After measuring them I see I have a few different sizes. The existing doors are original, they've been panelled with ply at some point and have about 40 years worth of gloss on them. I'm also sure my door frames won't be square (if the rest of the house is anything to go by!). Doors have a variance in trimming up to 15 mm in height, from one side to the other.

I've decided to go for this more modern style -

https://www.travisperkins.co.uk/Hardwood-Oak-Suffolk-Internal-Door-1981mm-x-762mm-x-35mm/p/480457

Any advice for getting new doors into my old frames? And for what i can do to match up the size of my current frames with the door sizes available to me?

Also, the new doors state "Extra thick lipping allows you to trim up to 20mm in width and 20mm in height from the door". Would that generally be 20mm from one vertical and one horizontal edge, 20mm from all edges, or 10mm from all edges?

I've put my door sizes below if it helps.

Thanks in advance!

Will be 10mm all round. Height of current doors is of no use you need to measure frames.Any floor coverings?( carpet etc)

Hi mate, laminate floor in all rooms but 2, carpet in those. Good point. I'll concentrate on the frames themselves, not the old doors.
