Time to retire my old mixer haha. It ran wonky for the last few months so I gave up cleaning it. It wants to do cartwheels due to the weight. The metal between stand and mixer broke a few times and was re welded. Its been through its paces and been very good to me for the 50quid I paid for it. Any idea how I can clean it? Brick acid? I did jackhammer it and broke the weld on the stand again. Let the good times roll

bang an load of larger rocks in it for a while they will clean it

Weigh it in for scrap - you'll get quite a bit as long as they don't look inside it!

Mythbusters dealt with a similar problem, with set concrete in a truck. They used explosives

If it's really on its last legs then I've heard setting a fire in the drum will break it all away due to differential expansion.

...at the cost of the paintwork

Oh I see. So just pour petrol in and set fire to it? Should make for a good video. Im just unsure of whether it will affect or melt the plastic motor housing. I just hit it with a hammer when I have a bored moment. I'll get the jack hammer on it also. Up for sale soon, please register your interest in this hot potato

I think you'd probably need a bit more than a flash of petrol... more like three or four logs and let them burn for an hour. There are some Youtube videos. Like I say, I've never tried it so buyer beware!

If that doesn't work tie it to the back of your car and go for a run around the block. If that shows promise then a lap of the M25 should finish the job!
