The company that keeps on giving

Whenever I see something for sale in Birmingham I automatically expect it to be ****e.

I actually need to order some Skirting boards for a new project, any suggestions for a good online place to order from? Was thinking of just playing it safe and ordering from wickes or B&Q.

That lot seem to be right up there with Plus Net for great customer service https://uk.trustpilot.com/review/www.plus.net so I will be avoiding them!

If you buy from there, go to the shop and select the items yourself.
Otherwise you will very likely get whatever was pulled from the pile first, which will be all the warped, twisted and knot laden pieces everyone else didn't want.

Go with a local builders merchant. In my local B&Q, the skirtings are 2.4m or 3m, but the merchants have 5.4m which means I didn't need any joins on a length.

I used some B&Q skirting and after a few days in a warm kitchen it was so warped that I had to replace it.

I have used B&Q mdf skirting, did the job. Short so fits in my car, although does mean more joins needed.
My builders used Benchmarx for 4m lengths.

Yeh I did as well actually, needed a new sill as I'd got foam on this one so ordered another one with the better quality mdf.

I ordered all my skirting/architrave/picture rails from them and yes their communication is dire. The biggest issue I think is that they state a delivery time of something like 2-3weeks so people start to email and phone them and get fobed off with excuses.

When the orders did arrive, approximately 10 weeks after order, they gave no delivery date they just turned up on the drive one day! In my situation, the quality was good but I wouldn't push my luck again!

Looking at the registered addresses they look like different companies to me, what makes you think that?

I think he replied on the wrong thread, having said on another he had ordered a window board from them, and I directed to this thread for more info!
