My drive is basically a slab of concrete that is possibly 50 or 60 years old and is ok to park cars on. Problem is that one car is parked nose in, one nose out to allow the driver to get in. We are right on the edge of the original concrete
Because we have grass next to it, people walk on the grass to come to the front door and I want to make a path. For ease of measurement it's abou 5M long
My hallway is wood so ideally I don't want mud and gravel tramped in
Presumably I am over the area limit to just stick down a row of slabs? The council are quite hot on planning around here so I believe that I would need to put down a permeable path
What path materials could I use? Ideally I want some kind of slab. Does "permeable" mean ordinary paving but unpainted, and sat on a gravel bed?
Is there a slab that is acutually permeable?
I want to avoid the gravel/chipping path as they will introduce more grit into the house.
I'd prefer a simple slab type paving a bit up from council slabs but not much more.
I could dig out a wider bit of grass to include a gravel border but then it. Would need weeding
My front tyre wipes a small amount of grass out if I get the angle slightly wrong as I park. So whatever I do I need to ensure that it will cope with a wheel now and again- but this is mainly for pedestrian use
