Hi All
I asked on this forum quite a while back about replacing the rollers on a sliding UPVC door. Sadly the new rollers I bought turned out to be of poor quality, so I cleaned and lubricated the old ones and now the door runs just fine. However, I've since noticed that there's some play in the door when locked: it can be pulled open perhaps as much as 5mm before the hooks fully engage. Just wondering whether anyone knows if and how this slack can be taken up? I've been told in the past that the Torx screws are not for adjustment and should be left well alone.

Pictures of the door lock edge below, though sadly not of great quality. (No Pudsey keyrings were harmed in the making of this post)

No there is no adjustment, the hooks slide up and down behind the slots on the frame keeps and thats your lot unfortunately, you've probably got 6 hooks - top 3 slide up and bottom 3 go down is that correct? Probably one the best designs out there in terms of security, its all enclosed, the strength is in the screws that bit into the steel inside the pvc, don't worry its still secure

Thanks to you both. There are three sets of two hooks: top, bottom and middle. It could be that the door isn't absolutely square within the frame, so yes, I'll give the roller adjustment screws another bash. If that doesn't make any difference then stuff it.
