Potterton Suprima 50 L - Flashing Green Light

I know this is a bit of a late reply but it might help someone with the same problem. I had the quick flashing green light with it firing for a few seconds and then cutting out. I had changed the PCB a few years back and took it out again to reflow some solder joints as that's worked in the past. There's a thick red cable with a clip on the end that hooks on to a large black cylinder on the PCB. The clip had come off during the removal and I mustn't have put it back on properly as the problem was still happening. So I stripped the cable back and put the clip on properly and it seems to have sorted the problem. I'm presuming it's something to do with the thermistor as, according to the manual, the quick green flashing is the boiler thinking it is up to temperature. So maybe check that thick red wire is making a good connection as part of your troubleshooting.. If anyone still has one! I've had mine for very nearly 20 years and besides the one PCB change and a couple of spot solderings, it's been perfect.

Thick red wire is the ignition lead on the old boards, nothing to do with the thermistor which IIRC is the two yellow wires
