I think this is a common weed that's gone into flower. We've only owned the house a year and the last guy was an expert gardener so I'll give it the benefit of the doubt that it might be something special
Thanks for your help

It looks like a euphorbia to me, pretty flowers, probably bought and planted by the gardening expert.
It's not usually regarded as a weed, and is not invasive.

It looks like a shady spot? if so - it's one of the garden plants that will do well there, where a lot of others will not.

so, two questions:

- Do you like it?
-Have you got anything else you'd rather have in that spot?

I would enjoy it if it was in my garden

I'm not so sure about the low plant in the corner behind it though - could it be ground elder?

Yeah it's a euphorbia, be careful it you want to move it, the sap is very irritating, wear gloves.

Definitely euphorbia.

The wild one is called common spurge.

If you cut the stem it will bleed a milky sap, which is an irritant.

Poinsettias a a species of euphorbia.

Tip, if you get the sap on your hands, wash them in milk, and if you're a bloke don't go for a wazz until you have. :ROFLMAO:

Once after clearing patch of common surge weeds, i had some sap on my fingers and inadvertantly touched my lower lip -it stung a bit, then started to go numb so whatever is in the sap is potent

I see that around the back of my house - it does have a tendency to spread a lot each year.
Your one is called 'tiny tim'. :)
