Wiring capacity of 1g box

I want to have 2 x 1g 35mm box with 3 switches each 2 way switched from either end of the room. Im concerned about cable density in the back box so was considering fitting 3 x 3 core +e 1.5mm (because i have plenty) to each switch and do the rest in a wago box / in ceiling rose. This would remove halve the number of cables in one of the light switches. Any thoughts or recommendations?

It will be ok, you just have to be very neat, got two of them in my place, and don't skimp on the box depth.

Edit - Didn't notice the bit about the jb, your switch box will be ok on its ownn

I wouldn't have a junction box in the ceiling.

try and do it correctly first.

Do you really need 2 way switching on everything?

Isn't that gonna be a game of guessing what combination turns the lights off at the end of the night

On the box you take all the light feeds out of, you could use a double gang.
you can get double gang switches with 3 or 4 switches ( 6 even)

The purpose for the 2 way switching was I getting fed up having to walk back to turn half of the lights off on the way to bed.

You are probably right, I could reduce the number of 2 way switched pairs.

The back boxes are 35mm can't go any deeper based on the wall thicknesses tbh.

If you think about how you are wiring it, it wont be a problem, don't install joint boxes where there is no need

I assume you are looping at switches? If you were to jam feed in, feed out, 3 switch wires, and 3 three cores in one switch, and just have the 3 three cores at the other, then the first one would maybe be a bit tight. But if you thought about it, you could move the switch wires to the lights to the far end, so you have two switches each with the 3 three cores, and at one you have your feeds and the other you have three switch wires to lights.

Use 1mm cable. 1.5mm is much bulkier and not so bendy. Easier, for a few quid.
