We have to replace one ceramic floor tile. I'm loathe to pay £13 for a bag of floor tile adhesive when I only need a few spoonfuls. Is there anything similar I can use? The sub-floor is wood so I know it should be flexible. I realise the real thing is probably the best but it's quite an old floor which will probably be replaced in the fairly near future so I'd just like to make it good for now.

You need flexible floor tile adhesive. So it's either buying the smallest bag you can find of ask a local tiler that may use flexible floor tile adhesive all the time if you can buy five quids worth off him.

Thanks for your help. I don't know any tilers though and I imagine they would prefer to be instructed to do the job than sell me their adhesive. Luckily I've now found some £7.92 adhesive from the well-known DIY chain.
