What about the abusive comments posted about politicians? I see no-one complaining about those.
What about the silly comments posted about me? I don't see anyone complaining about those. In fact I see many people 'jumping on the metaphorical bandwagon'. Often it's indicative of their lack of logic.
They are of no consequence. They do not bother me, they say more about the authors than me. So who cares?
What about the many prejudiced comments posted by some on here? I see only BAS posting objections to them. I agree with many of his objections. I think he is right to object. I don't particularly agree with his methods, but I absolutely agree with his motivations.
What about the many multiple false allegations and numerous fake news posted by some on here? Some of them are challenged, and quite rightly. Others are ignored for the nonsense that they are.

When some complain about an aspect of one contributor, it's often a 'ganged up' affair against that poster that often disagrees with the prevailing opinion. It's more like a "you're acceptable as long as you agree with our opinion" forum. Anyone who dares to have a different opinion, even if it'a a respectable, decent opinion, is shouted down by a mob.

I still don't see your joke that was supposed to be funny. Was it the picture of the cat, and if so, how is that funny?

:?: I don't. I never suggested I did. How is it relevant when it was deleted? I'm assuming it's been deleted for some time, back in the beginning of May, when the thread was locked.

Politicians - More than likely deserve it
Yourself - Comments about your previous usernames? It’s so obvious yet time and time again you deny it.
Who cares? Not me, selfish, but I have no connection of any type to politicians or yourself.

Prejudiced comments - That’s the posters opinion which won’t change.

Fake news - I make my own mind up about what ever is posted.

The joke - Kim Jong Un gets a copy of every picture you take. That’s the joke because some people actually believe it.
 
When I used to play golf, and martial arts before that, I learned the value of diligent practice .
If you repeat something often enough, it becomes natural. You become a "new you ".

I can't help but think that someone who posts so many antagonistic, rude, abusive, and patronising posts is probably that way in real life : it would likely be too much work for it to be an act.
But that's just my opinion.

Why did you give up golf?
 
First-born started playing in a football team so, between weekend working and my golf membership, something had to give.

I got to the point where, teeing off on the tenth, I would rather have been somewhere else .

I've probably seen my clubs fewer than ten times, in the ten years since.
 
I felt sorry for Theresa when she broke down, and wanted to put my arm around her. She isn't right for the job. She is a managerial type, in her element among piles of rules, red tape and box-ticking. All the other Tories are too, none are suitable for leadership, we need pioneers.

My point is that there are so many abusive posts, why get so uptight about one person's posts.
It seems to me that the people ganging up to go mob-handed about one person's posts, are typical and regular abusers themselves.
It seems less about an abusive post, and more about willy-waving.

No, they won't change, but they can be buried.

I would love to see the situation where this site wakes up to its responsibilities and shuts down all those who preach racism, xenophobia, islamophobia, anti-semitism, sexism, who promote fake news, who knowingly refuse to accept verifiable facts, etc.

But until then the only option is for people who post views like that to be dumped on by thousands of others telling them what scumbags they are. I only have one ID, so I can only be one of those thousands, but I am morally in the right, and morally superior to racists, xenophobes, islamophobes, anti-semites, sexists, promoters of fake news, deniers of verifiable facts, etc.

Incidentally, either the search facility works very poorly or the frequent ridiculous replies have been doctored or deleted.

I defended Bas the last time he was banned/suspended but I shall not do it the next time. He seems to have totally lost it.

But that, of course, is because I am vociferously opposed to people on the basis of what comes out of their mouths, i.e. what kind of character they are.

Those people, and their fellow travellers such as yourself, are vociferously opposed to people on the basis of their religion, or the colour of their skin, or the country of their birth, or their health, or their employment status.

And I know, without a shadow of a doubt, who is morally right, and who is morally wrong, in that comparison.

Futile, I know, to ask this, in the sense that I know you'll be totally unable to do it.

But worth doing, as yet another piece of proof of just how bad you are at this.

Show me what I said, and show how it was prejudice against him becasue of his religion, and not criticism of his religious beliefs.
