Transparent MDF panel protector

I have a central plinth in my kitchen with MDF panels at each end. In the past the corners have been damaged due to wear and tear. Having new units fitted, I am trying to find transparent edge protector strip similar to the clear plastic plinth sealing strips but without the 'skirt'.
Can anyone point me to a supplier please?
Google has not been my friend so far!

Use protector and cut off the skirt.
