I am putting extractor fan in bathroom. It's a timer version so have wired it to an isolator switch. The confusion comes when I try to wire it to the bathroom light pullcord. All the videos ECT say wire into light rose. I have checked pulled and all I have is a red and black wires going to switch. Can't see a rose at all. It might be in loft but loft is very small and right and I'm not a small chap. Is there any other way to wire from isolator to live circuit.

Hi. Yeah one light with 3 spotlight. Have checked both spotlight a e pullcord. Both have two wires but no typical rose with loop in and out ect.

Sorry for not replying until now but have been unwell. Have located junction for bathroom light and pullcord. It's not a rose but a junction box. There are 4 wires in it with I presume is one for light one for pulled ,wire that goes to next light in circuit and a grey one which I'm not sure what it is. Any ideas , and can I change it for a ceiling rose.

The fourth one is presumably the feed from your consumer unit/fuse box.

No need to change it. Once the cables/wires have all been properly identified with certainty, it will be possible to wire the fan from there.

Kind Regards, John

Thanks John. Only question I'm using 3 core + earth for fan how would I wire that into junction box?
