what type of bracket and what TV?
Back in the day several substantial bolts were needed as TVs were so heavy
I hang Tvs on plywood walls a lot with a couple of screws. If you want a cantilevered TV then you need big screws and plugs or rawlbolts.
a 50" LCD weighs almost nothing compared to a 40" plasma a few years ago
