Does anyone else remember this https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/1441982/Four-jailed-for-selling-unfit-meat-to-schools.html

At the time as the details came out, I thought our supermarkets will be thinking "if they got away with it, then so can we"

Also the judge asked if this could have been prevented, and he was advised that the unfit chicken could have been dyed with blue permanent ink. So he recommended that this action was adopted.

AFAIK, unfit chicken is still not dyed to make it unusable, and I'm sure our supermarkets have adopted these crooks methods, albeit being more hygenically. And they would be very unhappy with unfit chicken being dyed blue.

So are we already eating chlorinated chicken?

We may well be. I might have been once - about the time of the more recent instance of criminals washing and re-packaging out-of-date chicken, I bought one in Tesco, and when I unwrapped it, well, "rank" does not begin to describe the horror that assulted my nostrils. I, of course, can't be sure that other criminal substitutions had not slipped by unnoticed.

And some of us are the victims of criminals who steal our money or our goods.

Some of us are the victims of criminals who assault us.

Some of us are victims of illegally high levels of pollution in our air.

Some of us are victims of illegal decisions made by the govrnment.

Some of us are the victims of criminally reckless bankers.


What is your point?

I understand all of your post.

What I don't understand is what the point was of you making it.

Was it just random reporting of a past crime, or was there some purpose you had in mind when you picked that particular one to report?

We are going to be here for an awfully long time if it was the former, and you are going to work your way through all the reported crimes to date.

But if it wasn't the former, why won't you tell us what the point was?

That wiggly thing (?) at the end is what us grown ups call a question mark? It means the words before it constitute a question, and the normal response is to answer the question.

 
Hmm.

And the normal response to a reply is to read it properly to see if it contains an answer to the question.

you've obviously never worked in a restaurant kitchen. This happens ALL THE TIME.
Although at least in a kitchen it gets cooked pretty soon after.

Always best in a restaurant to not complain until after your food is served..............
